ABOUT THE BETA

"About the Betta" is a nonfiction story dressed up a bit to make a better story. The names have been changed to protect the innocent. It is one of those times that your imagination and reality make a great story if you just let go and write it down. I handed this story in during a class at Western called "The Naked Writer". Professor Claudia Manley recommended this story for publication in the Rusty Touque and eventually it was published in the premiere issue of the renamed journal Occasus.

JUST IN TIME

"Just in Time" is a bit of fiction spurred on by a little reality. Just in time is the term used for inventory in manufacturing plants and I used the concept in an imaginary, what-if sort of story. It was published in the spring issue of Brescia College's Musings.

SOMETHING ABOUT THE WOOD

"Something About The Wood" is really a story about understanding. Sometimes until we dig deep and think about something that at first appears strange we really don't get it . I was living in rural Pennsylvania and I have to admit that I thought the fetish men had about wood was not justified. That changed when I started to write about it. This piece was published in The Country Connection, and I hope it brings a smile to you.
